Staff Profile

Hello and welcome!

I love teaching at Horace Mann. This year marks my 19th year as an art teacher and my 7th teaching in the Saint Paul Public Schools having taught K-12. I am enjoying elementary art especially because my two daughters have been my students here. My goal is to nurture a warm, welcoming space and the tools to build and create whatever their imagination can come up with.

I was born in Appleton, Wi and moved to the East Coast for college at Smith and grad school at NYU. After 10 years in New York City I moved back to the midwest and taught in Chicago for 2 years before moving to St. Paul. I have 2 girls: Alice loves theater and drawing anime and Rosie loves to build out of cardboard and draw Kawaii cute. In my free time I love gardening, yoga, and hiking.
