Hello and Welcome!

I am thrilled to be teaching third grade at Horace Mann for the 2025–26 school year!

This year marks my 19th year working in Saint Paul Public Schools. I feel so fortunate to work alongside Ms. Commers and Ms. Witt. We make a great team and love finding ways to make learning engaging and fun. Our classes will collaborate on several projects throughout the year, so if your child’s best friends are in another classroom, they will still have plenty of opportunities to learn and play together. My goal is to create a tight-knit community of learners who work hard, support one another, and grow together.

I hope each student will grow tremendously this year as a reader, critical thinker, and problem solver. Together, we can nurture your child’s curiosity and help them develop a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

A little about me: I was born in Minneapolis and grew up near Minnehaha Falls. I actually decided in third grade that I wanted to become a teacher! I spent many hours “playing school” with my friends in my grandma’s basement. I later attended the University of Minnesota, where I earned both my teaching degree and my master’s degree.

At home, I have two boys, ages 11 and 14. My youngest is in 5th grade here at Horace Mann, and my oldest is in 8th grade. I miss the days of having them both here at this special school! In my free time, I enjoy walking my two Boston Terriers, gardening, and spending time at Maple Lake.
