Staff Profile

My name is Anna Witt. I have been teaching in St. Paul Public Schools for21 years and I have been at Horace Mann for 17 years.

I was born and raised in south Minneapolis, and I have two younger brothers. I went to the University of Minnesota for both my undergraduate and Master's degrees. I also hold a K-12 Reading License. I live in Edina with my husband and two children. My daughter Addie, is 12 and going into 7th grade. My son, Ben, is 10, and is in 5th grade this year! We have a golden doodle named Milo. I’m sure you will hear a lot of stories about all of them, they are characters! They love to come and visit the classroom and meet my "other kids”. I love to be outside and I especially love running. You will probably see me leaving after school to run to the river. My favorite color is black, which the kids always find hilarious. Two of my favorite things in the world are cherry Bubly and Twizzlers!

My hope is that every child makes growth both academically and personally this year. I hope that your child will discover their strengths and what makes them special.
