Missy Doenges
Kindergarten Teacher

Welcome to our kindergarten classroom! My name is Melissa Doenges (pronounced Den-Jess), and I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year. I have been teaching since 2013 and have been working in early childhood the entire time. Working with young learners and Kindergarteners in particular is so joyful as I get the privilege of introducing school to them and facilitating their inclusion in our school community.

I hold a masters degree in Early Childhood Development and my undergrad degree in English Literature both from the University of Minnesota. In our classroom, I prioritize creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where each child feels valued and supported. I focus on hands-on learning, building foundational skills, and fostering a love of reading, writing, and problem-solving.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time outside with my two kids and reading a good book with my feet up!
