We are excited to announce the theme for this year’s Read-a-thon,
3,2,1,Read!The purpose of the read-a-thon is to encourage
students to develop good reading habits, and to help raise money for the PTA’s
projects and budgeted items to benefit the entire HoraceMannSchool community.
School Remodeling Project Announced 3/9/2009 1:14 PM This spring we are going to remodel portions of the first floor to
create a more secure, welcoming entry to the school and to add some space.
Why Would Hundreds Skip Recess Time? 3/4/2009 7:02 PM Hundreds of Horace Mann students skipped recess last week. Why? The
students remained inside to help others. The PTA sponsored and
supervised recess service projects: whisper phones to help readers,
gift bags for hospital patients, and cards for military members
overseas. Students felt proud and excitedly chattered as they returned
to recess or the classroom. Way to go students! Thank you PTA!!
