Kindergarten School Supply List

Your child will need a backpack to carry papers to and from school.  Make sure that a standard two-pocket folder can be easily placed inside of the backpack you choose.  You should check that your child can easily operate the zippers and closures before purchasing.  Generally, the simpler styles work best.

PLEASE DO NOT GET A MINI-BACKPACK OR A BACKPACK WITH WHEELS!

It's good practice to make a habit of checking your child's backpack daily to review work that your child has completed and to check for parent notes and the homework folder that is sent home on Fridays.  I would also suggest that you keep a change of clothes for your child inside of his or her backpack.  (Bathroom accidents, illness, lunchroom spills and playground mishaps are just some of the reasons a change of clothes may be needed.)

Please bring the following items to be shared by the kindergarten class:

(Labeling with your child's name is not necessary for these items.)

  • Pocket folder - any color.  In our room the folder is used by your child to transport work and parent notes home.
  • Kleenex
  • 2 packages of washable markers – 1 box broad tip, 1 box fine tip
  • 2 boxes Crayola brand crayons
  • 8-color Crayola watercolor paint set
