home read aloud and silent reading time totals.
- Students should add
these totals to their Calendar Tally Sheet to arrive at a grand total of minutes
read during the Read-a-thon.
Saturday Oct.
31
- Read-a-thon
ends.
- Students begin to
collect pledge money. (Checks written to Horace Mann PTA preferred)
Week of November 2-6
Calendar Tally
Sheets, Pledge Sheets and money are due at school. PTA volunteers will be in
the main hallway before school each morning that week to collect these items.
Items must be returned this week for students to be eligible for
prizes.

up! (if school reaches reading goal of 500,000 minutes!).
- Prizes given to
teachers for distribution to students.
- Scholastic Book Fair
